Checking the New Bridal Collection of Butrich

Léelo en español

Happy Thursday! Hope your week is going great. I was a bit sick last week and I wasn’t able to publish the post on time, but fortunately I’m well again and I want to show you where I went last Tuesday.

The Peruvian designer Jessica Butrich launched her new line of bridal shoes and I had the opportunity to be there to check all the designs. The shoes are dreamy! They mix classic styles from the designer with romantic details like bows and hearts.

These are not the first bridal shoes for Jessica, since she’s been working with brides by request before, but I think it’s wonderful to now have a complete line available for the Butrich bride.

Among all the pink and golden hues, one of my favourite things of the collection were the blue details, especially a pair of light blue platforms perfect for that “something blue” in your special day.

Jessica Butrich is a talented Peruvian designer and I can’t wait to see what she creates next. Right now, she also has available her new summer essentials that I recommend you to check before they sell out! You can check the rest of her Bridal line at butrich.com.

I really hope you enjoyed this sneak peek and let me know what you think of this new collection. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me.

Have a great week! Xoxo

Outfit of the Week: Pink Blazer

Léelo en español

Happy Wednesday! Spring is officially here, and although some days are still a bit cold, we’re ready to start renewing our wardrobe for this season. And speaking of which, one of the trends I’ve been really excited about are blazers. We usually think of blazers as an office outfit, but we can also wear them for our daily outfits to look effortless sophisticated.

So, for this post I wanted to show you the outfit I wore last week to go shopping and watch a movie with my sister. Since it was something casual, but the weather was a bit chilly, I decided to wear the blazer with all black clothes to highlight the blazer and my accessories.

However, you can also wear it with jeans and a nice top or body suit for warmer days. Regarding shoes, I love how jeans look with stilettos, but if you’re not used to high heels, you can definitely wear slingbacks or sneakers.

Outfit details:

  • Top from H&M
  • Jeans from Forever 21
  • Blazer from Mithos
  • Mini bag from Kate Spade
  • Combat boots from Dr. Martens via Revolve

Hope you liked this outfit. As I already told you, I’m really excited about this trend and looking forward to get more blazers to show you more outfits. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me. Read you all on the next post!

My Favourites from SS20 Milan Fashion Week

Léelo en español

Hi everyone! I felt like it’s been a while since I wrote my last post. Sorry for disappearing these weeks! As I briefly told you in my last post, I was really busy with my office work. I had to cover a colleague, and September passed in a flash. Also, we realised that my kitty, Ming, needed a friend to play, so we adopted a new kitten. His name is Haru and he was only 4 weeks old when he came home, so he needed a lot of care from all of us. Luckily, things finally calmed down a bit and everything is going back to normal.

I know that we’re a little bit past fashion month, but I didn’t want to miss the chance to show my 3 favourite shows and trends from Milan Fashion Week Spring-Summer 2020. So here they are!

Versace

Honoring the 20th year of the iconic Jungle dress, Versace reinvents it and makes it the key part of its show. The palette includes vivid colours like green, orange and pink with shiny accents. My favourite part of the show were the tailored black dresses.

Etro

Another of my favourites for this season is Etro. The collection theme was boho chic with sophisticated designs for a city girl. The house used light fabrics with prints combined with detail-rich knits. My favourite pieces were the velvet dresses with beautiful motifs.

Dolce & Gabbana

On this occasion, Stefano and Domenico presented the Sicilian Jungle with 124 looks full of prints, raffia and foliage motifs. My favourite designs were the khaki safari pieces and the vaporous dresses. Although the house black dresses need a special mention because they’re always sexy, yet stylish.

I hope you liked my picks from MFW and hope they serve you as inspiration for this season. I personally liked the idea of wearing pencil skirts for everyday outfits, all the khaki safari inspired pieces, and adding some boho chic style to my wardrobe. 3 winter outfits with combat boots

Léelo en español

Happy Thursday! How are your days going? I’ve been a bit busy these last weeks and haven’t been able to post twice a week. However, as soon as things are less hectic, I’ll post twice a week again.

In today’s post I want to show you 3 ways in which I wear my combat boots. Even though we’ve been having some sunny days lately, the weather is still cold and my combat boots keep me warm.

1. Skinny pants

This is my favourite way to wear them. You can combine the colours you want, but I prefer wear a pair of black pants of the same colour of my boots, so my legs can look longer.

2. Oversized sweaters

This is a simple, but chic way to wear these shoes. If your sweater is not long enough, you can also wear a circle pleated skirt and finish the outfit with some tights.

3. Jeans

Last but not least, jeans will let you create either a casual outfit or a laidback, but sophisticated one depending on how you combine the pieces. I like adding golden jewellery to elevate my look.

I hope you liked these outfit ideas for winter and let me know if you are a fan of combat boots or not. I think they’re very versitile. Follow me on Instagram if you want to know more about me and don’t forget I’ll publish a new post next week.

5 Tips to shop online

Léelo en español

Our lives get busier every day and sometimes we don’t have enough time to do all the things we’d like. I love shopping, but work life makes it difficult to go out every day.

So today I want to give you some tips to save time and safely buy online.

Check reviews of the website

This is the first thing I do every time I want to check a new online store. It’s a good way to get to know the reputation of a website, the quality of their products and their costumer service.

Learn about the shipping time and prices

Depending on where you live, the shipping time will be longer or the fee will be higher, some websites will even add taxes. It’s important to check those details beforehand instead of being surprised at checkout.

Check the sizes carefully before buying something

Most websites offer specific details for each items. For example, if you choose a size up, if the item is true to size or even comments from buyers. Don’t forget go check those details to avoid returns.

Look for reward or loyalty programs

Some websites offer free subscriptions. The benefit of those programmes is that they offer special discounts and offers to their VIPs.

Suscribe to their newsletter

Newsletters are another way to discover the last trends and get the all the discounts of your favourite websites.

I really hope you liked these tips to shop online and you share them your friends if you found them useful. Follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me, and enjoy the rest of your week!

¡Happy shopping! Xoxo

My winter essentials

Léelo en español

Happy Tuesday! We are in August already and I cannot believe we’re four months away from Christmas. I’ve been absent these days from the blog because I have been very busy at work and I needed some more time to prepare the posts, but I’m back again.

Today I want to show you which are my favourite items for this winter. Pieces that you can wear casually or in more formal events.

  1. Black and white pants: These are basic to build new outfits. The neutral colours will help you match several pieces.
  2. Turtleneck top: I really like these tops because I can match them with any kind of pants and skirts. Even though they’re a basic piece, they will help you look sophisticated.
  3. Combat boots: These are my favourite for casual outfits. This kind of boots are comfortable and will keep you warm, specially in rainy days. I wear heeled combat boots because I love heels, but you can wear the regular ones as well.
  4. Heeled booties: It’s always good to have at least a pair of those for more formal occasions or just to elevate any outfit. You can get a pair on black and brown to combine different styles.
  5. Coat: Perfect for both casual and formal occasions. Just like with previous items, it’s good to have coats of neutral colours. I also have a pink one to have it as the center item of my outfits.
  6. Chunky sweater: These sweaters are good when you don’t want to wear a coat or jacket. Depending on how you style them, you can wear it with several items.

I hope you found this post useful and let me know in the comments which pieces are your favorite. Follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me and don’t forget I’ll publish a new post this week.

Have a great week! Xoxo

My first time buying at Revolve

Léelo en español

Happy Saturday! If you are in Peru, I hope you are enjoying the long weekend thanks for the Pan American games and the Independence Day. Unfortunately, I have to work normally, but at least today is Saturday. 🙂

Since I work from home, I don’t have enough time to go to the mall to shop, that’s why I like finding new websites to buy everything I need. Today, I want to tell you about my experience buying at Revolve for the first time. I heard a lot about this Californian online store, but I just had the chance to shop here.

Outfit details: Boots from Dr. Martens, pants from Elle, sweater from TopiTop, belt from Jessica Butrich, mini bag from Kate Spade and sunglasses from Balenciaga.

It seems that winter will be longer this year, so I was looking for a comfortable pair of boots that could keep me warm and that I could wear in casual occasions. I like combat boots, but since I’m too used to wear heels, I started looking for a pair of boots that could meet these two things, and that’s how I found a pair of Dr. Martens at Revolve.

Kendra boots from Dr. Martens

Just like in other online stores, you have to create an account before making a purchase. What I liked about the website is that it’s very easy to navigate and that you can select different filters to find what you are looking for.

Regarding shipping times and costs, Revolve offers two methods. The first one is Postal Priority that takes 10-14 business days, while the other is Fedex Express which takes 3-6 business days (you’d have to pay an additional tax fee, in my case I was charged a 16%). Both methods costs just $10 if you spend less than $100.

I’m very happy with my purchase because I ordered the boots on Monday afternoon, and not also they were shipped on the same day, but they also arrived really quickly. In only 3 days! (I selected the Fedex Express shipping). I have no complaints about the packaging either, the shoe box was very well protected with air pillows to avoid any damage to the shoes.

Lastly, the boots are clearly made from a really good material and they’re very comfortable. I wore them yesterday and walked a lot, but I didn’t feel any pain. I think that the rubber sole has an important role in this because they make the boots feel lighter; therefore, you won’t get tired easily while wearing them.

This post came out longer than I expected, but I hope it makes you want to shop in this site. Revolve offers a huge variety of clothing, shoes and accessories, and they have really good discounts (which is what all of us love!). Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to get to know me more because I post pictures every day.

Have a lovely weekend! Xoxo

Outfit of the week: Combining black and white

Léelo en español

Happy Tuesday all! I hope you weekend was full of fun. 🙂

I said it before and I say it again, sometimes we think that winter is not the time to wear bright colours (especially white), but I’d like to differ. White clothing will always stand up and it’s a colour that will look classy, whether you are wearing sneakers or heels.

That’s why in today’s outfit I wanted to show you another simple way to combine this colour for a casual winter look.

As you can see in the pictures, I decided to combine black and white in an effort to contrast the colours for an everyday look. I combined a pair of white denim pants and a white button up blouse with black prints in the first layer, and completed the look with a black leather jacket, buckle boots and a mini bag.

I decided to pick this kind of blouse instead of a t-shirt or a sweater in order to be able to switch the leather coat to a wool one, and the boots to some heels for a night look. Also, because button up blouses are my favourite to look effortless chic.

Outfit details: Blouse from Warehouse London, pants from H&M, coat from Pepe Jeans, boots from Romwe and mini bag from Kate Spade.

I hope you liked today’s post and let me know what is your favourite colour for this season in the comments. Finally, don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me because I post pictures every day.

Have a lovely week! Xoxo

5 sales you should check this weekend

Léelo en español

Hi everyone and happy Friday! I couldn’t publish the post on Tuesday because I had one of those weeks when you need more than 7 days to get organised, but I’m back here now.

July is here and most people in Peru receive a bonus this month. That’s why there has been several sales here, but in case you missed the cyberdays, I have some other sale options and good deals you can check this weekend.

Asos

For limited time only, the British online store offers final reductions up to 70% off. You can find items as low as $1.58.

Remember the standard delivery costs $10.00 (it’s free if you purchase $63.00 or more) and your package should arrive within 3 weeks. On the other hand, the express shipping costs $31.58, no matter how much you buy, and your package should arrive within a week.

You can access the sale here.

Shopbop

Although they don’t have a special sale right now, you can always find good deals in Shopbop if you look carefully (I once found a $280 coat at $80!). Their final sale starts with accessories at $3.00 and clothing at $12.00.

Their shipping rates are one of the lowest with $10.00 for both standard and express shipping. I always opt for the express one and receive my packages within 2-4 business days.

Farfetch

I really like this store because of the variety of products and brands. Additional to their regular sale, they offer an additional 20% off in women dresses with the code JULY20. Their sale starts with items at $10.00 and clothing at $19.00.

Since Farfetch works with partner stores around the globe, the shipping may vary if you pick more than one item. The shipping fee for one item is $23; however, if you are in one of these countries, you can get a single shipping fee when you spend the amount indicated in their website. On the other hand, their shipping time takes between 3-7 business days.

You can also use my personal link to get a 10% off in your first order: https://farfetch.mention-me.com/m/ol/zh6lq-mayra-masson

Additionally, they are also offering free shipping in all orders during these days (the shipping is usually €20).

Although their prices are higher than the other websites of this post, I’m sure you’ll find something within the sale, which starts with clothing at €49. Their standard delivery time is within 2-4 business days, after you confirm your order.

You can access the sale here.

Net-A-Porter

Last but not least, Net-A-Porter also offers a great collection of curated luxury items, and during these days they are offering items up to 80% off. Their sale starts with items at $10.00 and clothing at $18.00.

My outfit for a movie night

Léelo en español

Happy Friday! Hope you had a good week. I had a very busy one, so I decided to take a break and watch the new Spider-man movie. I really liked it and want to watch it again. I was specially awed by the post-credit scenes because they leave you wanting to watch the next movie now!

Before the movie, I had something to eat at La Mora. I’m a big fan of the breakfast and brunch food, so every time I go there I order the French toasts. I personally think that they are one of the best in Lima and if you have the chance, you should definitely try them!

French toasts with glazed pears

I decided to wear a simple outfit today, so I matched a high neck sweater with a comfy pair of jeans. However, I also wanted to give it some colour, so I wore one of my favourite pair of shoes: a pair of rainbow midi shoes. As a final accessory, I wore a burgundy mini bag that match all my clothes.

Although is winter here in Peru, I like wearing midi shoes (slingbacks, pumps) because they help you upgrade your outfit a bit, specially if we are wearing basic pieces.

Outfit detals: Sweater from H&M, jeans from Romwe, bag from Guess and shoes from Jessica Butrich.

I hope you liked my update of the week and let me know if you’ like to see more places to eat delicious food here too. Follow me on Instagram to check more about me and don’t forget I’ll publish a new post next week.

Have a lovely weekend! Xoxo
