My Experience with Ban.do

Happy Wednesday! Hope your week is going great. I feel that mine is a bit slow due to the time change, but I’ll get use to it again these days.

The end of the year is just around the corner and one of the things I like to have ready before a new year is an agenda. I like to keep myself organised and finding the perfect agenda for me is crucial.

I’ve tried several brands, but my new favourite is Ban.do. They offer from planners to pens, but my favourite are their agendas. I bought my first one last year via Shopbop, but it seems they’re not selling this brand anymore. So, when I needed to renew mine, I went directly to the Ban.do website.

They offer several formats and sizes, such as the regular 12 months ones, academic ones (Sep-Aug), and 17 months (from September to December of next year).

My old agenda ended in a August, so I chose the 17 months one and personalised it with my name. I really like the designs inside and the inspirational quotes that you can find all over. I also like that they include US national holidays (which are helpful for me because I work for an American company) and “the best days”, such as Galentine’s Day or National Pizza day. Everything is very fun and motivates me to keep myself organised.

Regarding shipping, Ban.do ships to several countries, but check if the fee is good for you before buying. The shipping fee to Peru was REALLY expensive for just one item (around $80!). So, I decided to buy it through Scharff, which helps you ship things to Peru that you couldn’t usually buy from here. You just have to register and send your items to their address in Miami. Then, they’ll deliver your package to you. They have a tutorial in their website if you want to try. It was my first time trying that service and I liked it.

Well everyone, I hope you liked my mini review of Ban.do and let me know if you want me to give you more information about Scharff. Don’t forget to follow me on Instagram to get to know more about me.

Have a great week! Xoxo

Tips to Take Care of your Handhags

Léelo en español

Hello dears! Hope you’re keeping yourselves warm in these cold days. Remember that even though we may see sun light, it doesn’t mean it will be a warm day, so be prepared.

Today I want to give you some tips for taking care of your handbags. It doesn’t matter the kind of bags you have, if you want it to last, it’s very important that you invest some time in them and avoid some things to protect them. Here are some things I do in order to do so.

Use a dust bag

One of the basics for taking good care of handbags is to keep them in dust bags to protect them from dirt and from getting any scratch. In case your handbag doesn’t come with a dust bag, you can keep them in any closed linen bag or even a plastic bag.

Use air puffs

The second most important tip for maintenance is to keep your unused bag with any kind of stuffing to keep the original shape of it. If you forget to stuff them, they may flatten and they might not be the same again. Every time I buy online, I keep the plastic air puffs that protect the package to use them with my handbags.

Clean the exterior properly

Remember to clean the exterior regularly. You can use a dry cloth wipe for any dust or baby wipes for any stain you want to take off, but remember not to rub to hard because you might damage the material. After you clean it, let it dry and put the handbag back in its dust bag.

In the case of real leather, sometimes you can find special products in the stores where you buy the bags.

Don’t forget the interior

In the same way you clean the exterior, you should clean the interior. Try using a lint roller or scotch tape for places that are hard to get. In case you need to clean a stain, turn the bag inside out and gently use a stain remover. Remember to rinse it with a spritz of water to avoid soaking the exterior.

Don’t hang them for too long

Avoid hanging the bags for too long because you will damage the handles. Keep them in their dust bags and store them properly to maintain the shape and avoid any damage of the materials.

Protect the interior

When you are wearing big handbags where you keep loads of stuff, like makeup, remember to keep it in a separate pouch to avoid any accidents or stains.

Keep them away from liquids

Last but not least, avoid the contact with liquids such as perfume or rain because they will damage the materials in the long term.

I always take good care of my bags because those are items that can last a lifetime if you take care of them properly. For that reason, I really hope that you find these tips useful and please let me know if you have more tips. 5 Tips to Keep Yourself Focus while Working at Home

Léelo en español

Hi everyone! Hope you’re having a good week so far. Did you watch the last episode of Game of Thrones? I cannot wait for next Sunday to see the new one. I’ll be sad when the shows end, but at the same time, I really need to know the ending.

Anyway, the post of today is based on my daily routine. Maybe you don’t know, but I work remotely from home. While the idea of not having to leave your house to work sounds fantastic, it is sometimes a challenge because you’re tempted to work in your bed or getting distracted on the Internet. For that reason, I wanted to share with you some tips that have helped me overcome these setbacks and work efficiently.

Set a work station

As I told you before, the fact that you don’t have to leave your house to work will make you feel like you can also work in your bed. Although it’s nice, it’s good to set a special place to work during the day to keep an order in your life, maintain yourself focus and accustom your body to the idea that the work station is used to work and your bed to sleep.

Make a to-do list for the day

Another important thing is a to-do list because it helps you track all the things for the day. It happened to me that since I didn’t leave home, I lost track of time and forgot to do other daily chores. Thanks to my list I keep everything organised: work, chores and events.

Don’t skip meals!

No matter how busy you are, it’s very important to set some time to have all your meals. Sometimes, and it happened to me since I’ve been working from home, you lose track of time and end up having lunch at 5! To avoid that, it’s important to set an schedule or even an alarm for your meals. Remember that skipping meals or eating at irregular times is harmful for your health.

Don’t stay in your PJs all day!

This tip is similar to the first one. Although you don’t have dress super formal to be at home, you should always change from your PJs because if you don’t, you can feel sleepy or even lazy during the day. Changing to fresh clothes will make you feel in work mode.

Take breaks during the day

One of the tips I swear by is to take breaks during the day. After an hour or two, I tend to take a 10 minute break to avoid feeling stressed. It also helps me because I used to work non-stop until lunch or the end of the day and when I did, I used to feel super tired. Taking breaks to check social media or just even stretch helps me feel renewed.

I hope that my tips help you a bit if you work at home. It’s been more than a year that I work from home and I really enjoy it. I feel that I have more freedom, but I still need to organise all of my day to be able to do everything I want to do. If you want to know more about me, follow me on Instagram because I post pictures every day. Have a great week and read you on Friday! ❤
