Autumn Winter Milan Fashion Week 2019-20 was held last week and fortunately, these days, you can watch almost all shows on Instagram, so that’s what I did.
After losing count of all the shows I watched, I can say that my favourite where Versace (actually, my all time favourite), Tod’s and Fendi. Now, I’m going to show you some of the designs that caught my attention the most of each of the shows.
Versace is known for its daring, yet elegant designs, and this time was not different. This collection emphasised the combination of vibrant colours and textures, such as tweed and animal print with golden embellishments (like the statement Medusa safety pin). On the other hand, Donatello also showed us several all-black outfits, such as the famous strap dresses with golden embellishments and Greek key accents.
Spontaneity and sophistication. That’s how the brand describes this collection and they’re not wrong. The inspiration of this collection is the Italian style and their love for the quality of the craftsmanship. The garment emphasised nuances of camel combined with bordeaux, dark green, soft pink with black as the base colour. The star material was the leather together with knits and animal print.
This is an emotional collection because it’s the last one designed by Karl Lagerfeld with Silvia Venturing Fendi. In this show you can see the key elements of Fendi, which is the duality between the romantic and daring and between the forward-looking and timeless. This collection palette includes neutral colours combined with vibrant ones, such as yellow, mint green and camel together with different clothing items, like coats of perforated fishnet leather and translucent pleated skirts. Also, some designs included oversized bows providing the romance touch and the Fendi logo designed by Karl in 1981.
I hope you enjoyed this little top and if you want to know more about these collections, you can visit the brands Instagram accounts. A/W Paris Fashion Week started yesterday, so I will be alert to bring you a new top. Also, Peruvian designer Noe Bernacelli was selected to show his collection in the Ritz Hotel this Wednesday.
